With management support and training, the production and support teams at Brookings work together to produce the highest quality product in a safe and productive manner. Everybody contributes on a daily basis, finding ways to improve the way we run product. My co-workers and I take pride in our work and strive to make a product the customer will be satisfied with, and management always seeks out our input regarding how our process is running. The best thing about working at Bel is being rewarded and acknowledged for a job well done, and the encouragement we get along the way. 30 Years at Bel
I started as a part-time student in high school and have been with Bel for 30 years—I now oversee the packaging process of our cheeses. Bel benefits are great (for example, for our new hires health benefits start on day one), but working here means more than just that. In the years I have worked at Bel I’ve met many great people, and real friendships have developed. When people come to Bel they stick around, and when you’re with these people over the years they become your family. We all work together and care about each other, and are committed to helping our coworkers and watching out for them. I can watch employees and know they care, that they want to produce a top quality product and are committed to doing so. We all want to be the best Bel plant, and I feel we will make it! Some days it gets a little chaotic, but I love a challenge, am very happy at Bel, and actually love my job.
