Meet Mike

Mike Paul

Chief Customer Officer

Before coming to Bel Brands USA in 2022, Mike spent six years with Materne USA, a subsidiary of Bel Groupe, driving double-digit net sales and profits by applying a deep understanding of our customers. He says the entrepreneurial culture gave him the freedom and feeling of ownership, allowing him to advance quickly through several sales director positions. Most recently, he was vice president, sales grocery, in charge of the GoGo SqueeZ brand. At Bel USA, he is responsible for the sales, trade and category management capabilities for the entire organization and manages 62 people.

While he describes himself as “absolutely customer focused,” Mike does not miss an opportunity to leverage cost negotiations and mitigate a loss with a gain to score the win-win for the company and the customer. Mike’s passion for the consumer-packaged goods business started at home. His father was vice president of sales and marketing for a wholesaler in the southeast U.S. and Mike frequently tagged along to sales and client meetings, networking with manufacturers around the country. By age 15, Mike was cutting his teeth in CPG practices in a warehouse, taking orders.?

Mike wears his mentor hat daily and says he is proud of the work he’s done building high-performing sales teams. “I want my legacy to be, hey, I really like that guy. But at the same time, he taught me a lot.”?
